Nutrition and Fertility: How to Be Supported Phase by Phase

The journey toward a pregnancy is not a single moment: it’s a sequence of phases, and each one has different nutritional needs. Being supported “phase by phase” means exactly this: adapting your nutrition to where you are, instead of following generic rules that stay the same throughout.

In the preconception phase (ideally 3–6 months ahead), you build the foundations: deficiencies are corrected, the metabolism is stabilized, and a healthy eating pattern is consolidated. In the active trying phase, the work focuses on cycle regularity and supporting ovulation. If you enter an ART journey, every stage — stimulation, retrieval, transfer, the waiting period – has its own specific points of attention, from supporting ovarian response to managing bloating. And when pregnancy arrives, nutrition changes once again: new needs, new priorities, new questions.

The advantage of continuous support is twofold. Practical: you don’t have to start from scratch at every phase, because the person following you knows your history, your test results, and your habits. And emotional: in a journey full of uncertainty, having a stable point of reference – one who also understands your reality as an expat in Berlin – lightens the mental load.

Fertility isn’t managed through scattered advice found online: it’s accompanied, with method and continuity.
